        Thanks for the Youtube link. Last week I ordered a pin wrench those guys, Marine Tech Tools, for my other outboard which has a leaking trim seal.

          Think I've found the problem. The pipe into the bottom of the tilt cylinder has been replaced with a flexi hose, and it looks like it's kinked or something. I can get air through it but not fluid. Anyone know what type of fitting is used on those pipes?

            Sorry....to general of a comment. Should have said ATF Dexron ll. Yes it is getting hard to find.

            I believe that the newer spec Dexron ATF fluids are generally Backward Compatible to the old spec. But I cannot confirm that.

            Was just trying to make the point that Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Toyota, and just about every other manufacturer of whatever love to put their labels on oil, sealants..ect and charge a premium price on it.

            I don't go to Toyota to buy Toyota engine oil for my Toyota cars.Many folks do. Toyota don't make engine oil.

              IDK what their using but wouldn't it be easier to just replace that part with an OEM line?

                Yeah, definitely easier, but I bought the engine as a fixer-upper and I haven't decided yet if it's worth spending money on. In fact I bought it just for parts for my other outboard - the guy that sold it to me said it was seized. But it's not seized so I want to see if I can get it running. I have another question, I'll start another thread.
