Just read this on another forum.
I don't know anything about Suzukis,
but assume there is some provision similar to what Yamaha calls the "idle port"
and that is what this post is about
Suzuki DF300 Exhaust Air Bubbles / Jacuzzi Effect SOLVED
One of my DF300's was bubbling like a hot tub at idle and driving me nuts.
I knew there was a blockage but all of the methods I saw didn't work -
compressed air at idle, using a wire,
examining the exhaust seal in the lower unit under the water pump plate, etc.
I talked to someone who used to work at one of the big Suzuki dealers
and he told me they had a special homemade tool
to plug the gearcase where the thru-prop exhaust exits the engine
and to rev the engine up and blow out the blockage.
I used two pieces of 3/8" starboard
started with a 4.25' hole saw and then a 2" hole saw in the center
I took the prop off, put the blockers on, put the prop back on and tightened it down.
Lowered the engine and nuetral revved to 3000 a few times (neutral rev limiter is 3000)
and sure enough, issue completely solved.
