Difference between a VX250TLRB and an SX250TXRB generally is the shaft length (20" versus 25"/30"), sportier looking paint/graphics scheme on the Vmax, gear case could be somewhat different, trim/tilt assembly in the VX is somewhat less robust and the CDI might have a different fuel/ignition map. There may also be porting or other differences with the block.
V to me mostly indicates a model intended for a bass boat or maybe a bay boat. But with the passage of time that is no longer true.
Open up the parts catalog for each model. You can then compare part numbers to determine precisely where the differences are. -
SX used CCS, VX did not.
