  • F200 Multifunction Gauges Locked Up?

My 2007 F200 has two square multifunction gauges. The Tach includes trim and temperature. The other one is Speed/Fuel. When I started it up last weekend, the gauges seemed to boot up properly displaying the welcome and then going to display. However engine temp and oil pressure were not displayed. The mode selector no longer seemed to work on either gauge.

The ignition was accidentally left on for a couple of days prior to this malfunction. I'm wondering if that was the cause and if some component has burned out?

Thanks for any advice you may have.

    Square Command Link gauges.
All of the engine data they display comes together, as digital messages, via the same wiring -
so if it receiving any info, it is receiving it all
that, plus the mode button not working,
would seem to indicate some failure of/within the gauge itself.

I would not expect the additional "on time" of a couple of days to be significant in the lifespan -
but can't imagine any other cause.

I have read of only one repair option (and have seen only good reviews of it)

Thanks for the response! In the meantime, I held the mode button in for at least 25-30 seconds and the gauge reset and is working fine now. I have the other one apart on my workbench replacing the polarizing film. If I get it back together successfully, I'll do the other one as well. If I don't, I'll be contacting the gaugesaver website. Thanks again.
