F150 T-stat seal

2007 F150TLR
Removed the T-stat to replace it. The parts page shows a T-stat seal, mine does not have one.
The origional and replacement T-stat are identical.

Did Yamaha change the T-stat design after the parts page was printed?
I have a replacement seal but both T-stats appear to have rubber on them that is thick enough to act as a seal itself.

A thermostat comes with the seal installed. If an existing seal is damaged then it can be replaced while reusing the thermostat.

So, buy a new thermostat with a seal already on it or buy just the seal if that is what is needed.

Thanks, thats what i figured.
Before installing the new T-stat i measured the thickness and the seat in the water jacket and the t-stat cover. The #s said no room for anything else.
