    I's hard to tell, but they're definitely metric threads......must be for that alternator bracket?...

      Are they right hand or left hand threads? Yes. Absolutely.

        Those pictures are like MC Esher's Relativity drawings. At a quick glance, they look normal. But as you look closer, you can see that it doesn't make sense. There's a couple examples of it in the picture, but an easy one to explain via typing is the "face" of the rectangular thing. Look where the holes are - look at that "face" of the rectangle - then follow that face around the rectangle... where do you end up? The big nut and the three studs are the same thing.
