I've posted before of my attempts to halt corrosion of the thermostat bore.
The recent thread prompted me to have another look (I haven't checked since last July)
Here is a current photo with 1954 hours on the engine
Although I have inspected it periodically,
I have done no "work" to the surface since the initial "treatment" in January 2015 - at 1100 running hours
