charging problems

Hi my 130hp 2 stroke outboard has a charging fault. It has been charging ok. I disconnected the battery to fit an isolator switch and now its not charging. is there any quick fixes or anything that drops out if the battery is disconnected? with it running I am getting battery voltage of 11.6V at all normal places of testing at battery and starter etc. any help appiciated

i think you need to have more rpms when testing output

I have had the rpm from Idle through to 4000rpm and its still not charging. this was on a river.
