Anyone besides me find the new Mercury four stroke 3.4 liter V-6 interesting? Weighs about the same as my F150.

There is a lot to like. Overall I like them.

From a visual stand point I am not there yet. A bit too edgy IMO. Somewhat like the G2 Etec but not so garishly so.

yes, likewise the Etec prepared me so not really a shock
like anything else in life; eventually one becomes inured

I like that it comes in white (actually two many choices of white) - hate Mercury black, you can fry eggs on a Merc cowling here in SFla

I see that the lower units on the white motors appear to be gray. Something for those on THT to bitch about I suppose.

The Mercury lower may get a pass over there since Yamaha is not involved.

The weight is what interests me. Where did they make adjustments? Hopefully there will be more info released by Mercury.

Yep, you are correct. Yamaha is held to a different standard than Yamaha.
