*****ing Control Question

I'm thinking of buying a Yammie F70 and am interested in the workings of the ***** control using the LAN Guages. A simple question.....Does the Yamaha ***** control system operate with the engine just above idle "in gear" or does the operator just put the engine in neutral and engage the system using the tacho mode then adjust speed using the tacho ?. ie like an "autopilot". I believe this engine can ***** very slowly and smoothly with this system?

***** control will adjust the *****ing speed up and down in 50 RPM increments from idle to about 1150 RPM.
engine must be in gear before selecting ***** control mode.
if you throttle above 1150 or so OR shift back to N, ***** control will be canceled.
