Ii has been 4 months since I ran this motor - it was running beautifully then - and now I added fuel and started it. Ran ok but did not idle well, and needed choke every time to start. Ran it around on the dinghy for about 20 mins - no change. Ran ok then stopped and unable to restart. Changed fuel, cleaned (new) fuel tank, cleaned & checked plug, and restarted engine. Waited overnight and then it started fine but would only run/idle while adding/reducing choke. Any ideas would be appreciated. I do not have a manual for it and this does complicate my efforts. Pretty good bet your carb has some trash in it....remove it, clean it out and you should be good to go!....a good idea to drain that carb for lay-ups of several weeks or more....keeps water/fuel/trash from forming and plugging those jets... -
