Works pretty well as a snow plow too.

We probably will end up with a Bilge folder on this forum pretty directly....

PROBLEM RESOLVED . Today I worked on the lower unit and water pump. I just got through and sea tested the motor and am happy to report that for the first time in 8 years the problem is resolved. There were two areas where I found an issue. #1 was the original plastic water pump housing was replaced, the old one did not look like it was leaking but it looked pretty old. Second, Part #11 in the parts photo had tons of corrosion underneath. We cleaned that out and replaced all the parts in the kits. Another side issue was that the thermostat had one bolt not tightened to the end- enough that the washer was loose. I suspect that did not help with water pressure, all that being said I was able to go over 1/1 miles at 800 RPM or less and it did not overheat- in fact, the tell tail remains cool to the touch. Photos of everything are included. THANKS FOR YOUR HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS!

You know how some men's bathrooms have a low urinal? Many think that is for kids. It is for folks with members that are so large and heavy that it is difficult to lift up to the normal height urinal.

Yes, we need a bilge section. Mary J Bilge we can call it.

              Glad you found it!

Too bad the "mechanic" couldn't fix it....

I can't believe all the trouble you have had with the mechanics that worked on your engine. I truly hope your problem is fixed for good this time. Enjoy your boat.

that Rubber seal damper that you show with lots of corrosion under it has a removable aluminum piece(#10 Guide)that usually corrodes away.
I hope you replaced both of those pieces.(10 and 11)
without that sealing well will cause exhaust gases to get into the water stream to the water pump reducing the amount of water getting to the power head at low RPM and maybe high RPM too

I just cleaned out the corrosion and put it back in. It was not in bad shape. Its easy enough to get to so I might just go ahead and order the parts.
