the adjusting screws that need to be screwed all the way in and than backed out aprox 5/8 of a turn are next to the large brass screw plates on the bottom correct?? these are the only screws i see that can be adjusted. i ask becuase i'm cleaning the carbs and want to make sure i put them back where they should be. i have not taken them out yet but they look to be way more than 5/8 of a turn out from tight. thanks for any help.

Boscoe, i dont' recall where i saw that info. thanks for the illustration to confrim i was looking at the right thing. 3 out of 4 of mine were 1 1/4 turns. the fourth one was more like 2 1/4. i will put them all back to 1 1/4. Also there was some partial blockage in the low idle jets. i could still see light through them but the holes appeard alot smaller than the un clogged ones. they have all been soaked in carb cleaner, sprayed with carb cleaner, blown out with compressed air and air dried. i am hoping that a partial clog in the some of the low idle jets was causing the engine (specifally one cylinder) to run rough at clutch and stall out. Carbs with new carb kits will be installed this afternoon after work.
Do you think a partial low idle jet clog would cause this symptom in the 115? thanks.

The illustration is from the Yamaha parts catalog. You need to study it and get familiar with the parts used on your motor.
