1985 yamaha oil pump

Both oil tanks full, oil light stays yellow, pump doesnt feed main tank, motor works off of main tank, motor works off main tank, when low red light comes on and buzzer goes off. Manuel switch does not turn pump on

do a search here, this has been covered many times, in fact, there is 3 threads on this page alone. I seriously think this needs a 'sticky" at the top of the page.

if the manual switch does not turn on pump, then my guess would be
no 12 volt power to oil pump
oil module
wiring

The oil module and/or the manual switch ground the wire from pump to make it run.
12 Volt positive power should be at pump with key on

and the yellow lamp indicates a break or open circuit in the remote tank switch.
if the yellow lamp is lit NO automatic transfer will occur but manual will still work.
if manual wont work you have most likely lost either the power feed,brown wire, or the pump ground,blue wire.
