Help! I am following my Yamaha service manual to perform carburetor link adjustment on my 90hp 2 stroke. Once I finish the adjustment there is no water stream coming from the tell tale, so I shut it down. In reading the manual troubleshooting section it looks like the carb link adjustment could cause overheating, which will happen if I run the motor with no cooling. I performed the carb link adjustment several more times thinking it can't be a coincidence, but no change. The tell tale water stream has always worked strong prior to this adjustment. I am doing this while in the water, at the pier, so that is not an issue. When I pulled over the garden hose and hooked it up to the flush adapter a strong stream comes out.
Is this a secondary problem that just happened when I did the link adjustment?
