  • Oil pump Switch Location?

I recently purchased a2003, 22' Sea Pro center console boat with a Yamaha 150hp 2 stroke engine. (150TXRB)
the oil tank has dropped to minimum several times and have had to fill it up manually to proceed.
Finding out where the problem is, is one issue.
The other is that all the manuals I have read states that there is a manual switch to pump the oil from the boat tank to the engine tank. All manuals say its next to the tank, on the left however, I've looked and looked and can find it. Is it somewhere else please or could it be that my outboard does not have one??????

    Please help!

    Thanks

Your motor has one. The exact location is shown in your owners manual.

Late model Yams typically place them adjacent to the main tank. Other Yams place them at the rear of the motor.

The toggle switch usually has a black rubber boot over it. The wire colors are blue and black.

Is the switch below or above the cylinder heads please?...or somewhere else at the back?

I didn't get a manual with my motor so its just what I've been able to find on the internet.

Looks to be below the oil tank and above the fuel filter.

Go to the link below and open the owners manual for your motor. Then look on page 5-9.

            Thanks Boscoe99.
Do you know how I can identify the correct manual for my particular engine, (150TXRB)?

            thanks.

The switch is located on the top left of the black box at the rear of the engine (if you are facing the back of the engine).

I have a 91 model 150 and it is located where BQUICK states above. Also, it appears you may have the same problem I was experiencing with my engine (faulty switch in remote oil tank). You may want to look at the responses to the post I started a couple of days ago. I believe it is entitled low oil level in engine tank. Several of the senior members of the forum correctly diagnosed my problem.
