2006 90 4 stroke overcharging

Hi All,

My 2006 Yamaha 90 4 stroke seems to be overcharging. My volt meter reads up to 17volts. Is it the regulator/rectifier? My battery terminals are tight. Any recommendations are welcome.

I changed out the regulator / rectifier (about $150 in Hawaii) and problem solved. After searching the forum, I also changed out the wing nuts on the battery to locknuts and lock washers since loosening of the wing nuts while running may have caused the regulator to go bad.
