Yamaha 60hp 1983 trim cylinder

Hi,

I have a 2cyl. Yamaha 60hp from 1983 with "manual" trim cylinder. Enclosed picture.

I removed it because it didn't work, i tried to fill it with oil, but i can't get i working properly.

Can anybody help me, how to fill it with oil correctly?

That appears to be a gas/oil shock strut. I don't think they are serviceable.

Check your owners manual.

I am here in the USA. Yam motors did not start being sold here until 1984.

boscoe is correct, they are filled with fluid and nitrogen, always under pressure,, it is unserviceable,,,
