70 TLR water pump changed prop clicking afterward

Changed the water pump on my 70TLR. I did not check whether the prop locked up in gear prior to changing. When shifter is in neutral prop spins freely both directions. When in reverse prop locks up when rotated both directions. Now the concern when in forward prop clicks or makes ratchet sounding noise when rotated clock wise and locks up the other direction. Is this normal or has something moved? Had to rotate flywheel to stab drive shaft.
