I think I have narrowed down my problem to this switch (6H3-14380-00-00). Boats started sluggish then stalled out 200yds off dock. Wouldn’t start back up. Seemed like it was starving for gas. I replaced every line from the tank to the motor with single walled good lines. New primer ball and filters as well. Still wouldn’t start. Shot of started fluid and it starts right up and stalls. So we have spark but no gas. Pulled apart the fuel pump and checked diaphragm. Alls good. Took the exit line off the pump and cranked it over. Shot gas right out. So at this point I knew the gas was making it to the carbs and I have spark. Removed the air cover from in front of the carbs and see a red switch. On the cover it states for emergency turn lever. I did and the engine fired right up.
So I am assuming the Starter Switch is my problem. Can it be anything else? Can this switch be fixed or needs to be replaced? Should I check anything else?
Thank you
Jay
