no water flow thru outboard, replaced water pump housing, impellar, etc. flushed all passages with water and air, found no restrictions, can force water thru with cuffs but will not pump one drop of water running in tank...I need help
Have read recently of a later 8 HP (1990) having same problem. It was the thermostat and relative water ways. Treatment:- new Stat. a lot of vinegar and stiff wire. Good Luck hope this helps.
