Interchangeable lower units?

Hi,

Will the lower unit from a 1996 70hp 70tlru fit on a 1996 75hp c75tlru? I've got some powerhead issues on my 70 and found a same year 75 that has lower unit issues (needs to be rebuilt). I'm hoping they'll bolt up but looking at the lower unit case part numbers they are different but look exactly the same. Will it work?

When I get to work, I will look in my interchangeabilaty guide,, get back with you this evening.. but from the information i can find sitting right here looks like they are the same lower unit..

Thanks! Can you check to see whether a 98 75HP will also work? Funny that I found two 75 Yammys with the same lower unit issues. Makes me thing that this may be a common issue or folks are neglecting to change their lube...
