Yamaha Z150 hpdi

Is it possible to upgrade a 2009 Yamaha 150 HPDI to 200 HP, we have changed the ECU module for the 200hp unit but with no power increase.

All other parts (pumps, reeds, injectors, heads, bore and stroke, trunk, etc)seem to be the same.

No one in Australia seems to know the answer,

Please help.

It is possible. Just won't be easy or cost effective.

The block and reed valve assemblies are different, just to name a few parts.

Go to Home | Yamaha Outboards and open up the parts catalog for both a Z150 and a Z200. Then, open up the same illustration for both types. You can then compare part numbers quite readily.
