Hi (excuse my english, the words may be wrong)
I have a workshop looking in to a problem with my outboard motor. The mechanic says fuel is not the problem. Reeds are fine too, Compression fine. The spark on each plug is fine. Still it runs on only one cyl (the top one).
He does not know what to do (Maybe he is not the best mechanic, but my only option). He suggest to buy a new CDI unit and see what the result will be. If that does not work he says the gasket on the crank shaft between cyl 2 and 3 is broken and that is a really big job to fix.
Do you have som other suggestions since his are guesses.
Another problem is that sometimes threre is to current/power to the motor/tilt or to the instruments. Battery is fine and no fuses broken. Is there som kind of relay that controls this? Is the Ignition switch (the one I stick the key into) broken?
Thanks for any suggestions //Jocke
