oil check valves

I have a 1987 225 Excel. I constantly find oil in the air silencer after the engine has been sitting for a few days. It makes for a smoky startup. Motor tank is not overflowing. I do not have the inline check valves on my Precision Blend system. Can they be added to the lines without any problems or must I make other modifications?

yes but add all 6.
the original valves are under the pump nipples.

Thank you Rodbolt. 6 on order. There is a plastic nipple in the middle of the lines. I was going to replace that with the new valves.

No need to remove the originals is there?

I can leave the originals in and add the new ones in the middle of the lines?
Or must I remove the originals.

I have seen them left with no issues.
myself I remove them or update the pump.
