Looking to know EXACTLY how many grease fitting are on a 2004 150 hp Two stroke TXRC.

    Any help would be great!

Go to the Yam parts catalog. Every part used on the motor is shown there.

For example, go here and look. At item 24. Five grease fittings are shown in this particular illustration.

I have looked at it but there seems to be old grease at top of steering shaft? I have pumped grease into the fittings at front of bracket and as well as the one going to lower end of leg .

But see NO grease coming out from old grease at top of steering shaft?

In the bottom of the pan under the powerhead is sometimes a fitting at the shift shaft.
7 fittings on most plus 2 on the cowl latches of the larger motors.
Some are visible with the motor down and others when up.

Get an owners manual and the service manual. The information is in them.

If you get as much of that old (likely hardened up) grease out of there, I suspect pumping in fresh grease will come out.

You do have to do some looking but there's really no fittings hidden.

For the really tight spots, get a rag, tear it into a LONG strip and pull it back and forth over the area your trying to clean. It may take several strips and be prepared to get nasty, it can get very messy.

Please post if that works out for you...
