Missing part Yamaha Outboard 15DE

Hello,

i've recently purchased a Yamaha 15Hp engine.
There seems to be a part missing.

Has anybody any clue what this missing part is?

Looks like the bolt that hold on the zinc trim fin/anode has broken off and the fin is gone....Easy enough to purchase another fin and bolt....good luck!

Any ideas where to purchase this part?

I can't find parts for my engine build in 1981, only parts i can find are parts for engines up from 1984.

That's where the trim tab anode should be.

Part still not found

My dealer ordered the anode part last december, i picked it up last week but it is the wrong part.

If i should mount this part a huge gap remains open allowing all sort of dirt to enter the cooling system.

Probably it is difficult to find the right part caused by the age of the engine.

Any suggestion would be helpful.

Hello,

today i finally saw the light.
I have shaped a small piece of plexiglass.
Mounted a new anode on top of it and problem solved
