Yamaha 30hp ELF 1989. Gear/Throttle controls setup issue

Hi all. We're trying to set up the gear and throttle controls for our 1989 30hp Yamaha Enduro. We have a set of 703 controls with cables but didn't get any hook-up kit. The motor we currently have now is a tiller motor but we want to hook up the controls we paid $250 for. We tried already and the gears we rigged up fine but the throttle conjunction is difficult. We either need some sort of kit or this may be very difficult.
I already checked out the control parts on the parts section here but I'm not sure what to get. Please help. Thanks, Chris
