  • Which Rectifier / regulator assembly 2002 F80TLRA?

The Electrical 1 diagram / parts list for 2002 F80TLRA shows two Rectifier / regulator assembly parts:

    67F-81960-10-00
    RECTIFIER & REGULATOR ASSY
    THROUGH 67F-1006740 AND 67G-1006052

    and

    67F-81960-12-00
    RECTIFIER & REGULATOR ASSY
    FROM 67F-1006741 AND 67G-1006053

How do I determine which one I need?

Primary ID of my motor is 67CL 307495. I can get SN or marks off the original part if needed,

    Thanks!

Are you the original owner of the motor?

Something is not adding up. The primary identification number that you cite has a 67C prefix. 67C is the prefix for an early Yamaha F40 model. Does the ID tag on the motor look clean and tight, like it has never been tampered with?

67F is the prefix for an F80. Note the 67F prefix on the rectifier/regulators that you are seeing in the parts catalog for the F80.

Call Yamaha Customer support and have them run your ID number in their system. They can tell you what model and year motor relates to the serial number that you have posted.

I am the original owner. Motor was purchased new in a bundle with an Aqua Patio Pontoon. The distributor was Godfrey Marine. I have all the paperwork. My original was post based on the warranty card for the motor. It is difficult to read the ID as it is overprinted on other text.

I went outside and checked the motor tags. There are two and they look original and not tampered with. The Manufacture Date tag says 4/2001. The Serial Number tag says F80TLRA 67G L 307495 and down in the bottom corner R. So we are talking 67G not 67C as in my original post.

Thanks for helping me correct that.

So - with the Serial Number corrected it looks like I want...

        67F-81960-10-00
        RECTIFIER & REGULATOR ASSY
        THROUGH 67F-1006740 AND 67G-1006052

Because my SN is G7G series below 1006052. Is this correct?

That is the way that I read it.

By the way I was wrong saying that an F80 is a 67F. That is the prefix for the F100.

The F80 appears to be a variant of the F100 but the F80 got a different prefix identity.

Appears that the F80 and F100 share the same rectifier/regulator.
