Hi All,
I have a rather strange question. I have a friend who is a paraplegic and has difficulty priming his motor at the primer bulb as he cannot get to it due to his condition. An ardent boater, he asked if I could install an electric fuel pump such as a Huco or a Facet between the built in tank and the primer bulb so he can prime the motor, prior to a cold start.
I would wire the pump onto a switch so that it only operates to prime the motor with fuel and then he must switch it off so that the original Yamaha pump on the motor then takes over for normal running.
The question is would there be any detrimental effect on the motor by doing this?
His motor is a Yamaha 130BETOL, 2 stroke 1999 model, 205 hours run time.
Any advice would be appreciated. - Thanks.

Dennis.
