Air adjusting screw cap

2006 and Later 2-stroke 25ESH Yamaha Outboard CARBURETOR Diagram and Parts

Looking at this above website, I have replaced parts 16 and 17. However, part 34 is a cap that sits above the air adjustment screw. This is broken on my outboard, and I can completely remove it, spin it around, do whatever. Since this is just a cap, is this a worry I should have? The other carb has a cap on it too, but it fits snug around its part 16.

if it is there just to keep someone from messing with the adjustment you should not need to worry about it.

Why did you have to replace the pilot adjustment screw?
