yamaha 40mlhp 2 cyl

Manual start, with 3 cylinders, oil injection. just purched with out manual. How do I start it.
I can hardly turn it over by hand. Turns easy with spark plugs removed. Is there some thing I don"t know?

Here is a link where you can view owner's manuals online - should tell you how to start your outboard. A 40 hp motor is gonna take a pretty good pull to turn it over.
