So I recently had trouble with my 93'Yamaha 130hp, I was having trouble with fuel flow, and my engine would boggle down when I tried accelerating, the boat would not go faster than 5mph, it wouldnt stay in idle either it would just shut off. so I decided to get the carbs cleaned, I reinstalled them and everything worked fine the engine felt as if it ran smoother and even quieter.
I went out on the boat for a week with no problem, yesterday I went out and as I begin to hit about 25mph the engine just boggled down and shut off. again I had to limp home at 5mph, not sure if it would have gone faster but I just wanted to get back to dock so I didnt take any chances, once back at the dock I ran the engine it holds idle, however when I rev it high it begins to spout and after a couple of spouts it shuts off, while I was reving the engine from the shifter on the engine i did notice when I reved it high and it spouted off I did get a little fuel sprayed on my face from the hose to the carbs, could this possibly be a problem with air getting into the lines, or maybee water in my fuel. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.
