I am trying to wire a new set of multifunction gauges (single plug) to an older 2000 model sx250 ox66 engine with the two plug harness. trim indicator is indicating trimmed all the way up with top bar flashing and oil level indicator either flashes the bottom level bar or the bottom bar comes on and the middle bar flashes. It depends on it's mood I guess after you turn off the key and then power it back up. Anyone have any advice here?
The oil pump is also not pumping in the auto mode, but will work with the emergency switch. The boat mounted tank is less than 1/3 full and I didn't want to fill it just yet as I was going to remove it and change the filter never-the-less. I have been told that the pump will not run automatically if the engine is not running or if the level is below about 1.5 quarts? Any ideas here?
