Trim gauge issue

2011 f150 yamaha. Trim gauge reading full trim. I also have the nmea network for the Lowrance. I hooked the 2 pink wires together and still reads 124%. Unhooked wires to sending unit still reads 124. Unhooked pink wires and yep still 124. Move sending unit with hand yep still 124.
Sending unit moves freely. Ohm meter and there is activity with movement. Reconnect yep still 124.

What is the problem??

Metal piece that activates S/u not broken,worn etc.

Ready to try dynamite.

Any suggestions???

try the trim 0 set function on the command link gauge.

it's an analog yamaha trim gauge. i have taken it out now and am tring to get it through the network on the lowrance. whats the possiblity of a wiring issue?
the gauge hasnt been acting right this year. it would fluctuate and then started just reading full up all the time.

under the console the pink with red dots is now no connected to anything and there is a yellow that runs to the tach that is also not connected to anything. is this part of the problem
