I have an 85 HP TLRR Yamaha. when I took it out. it seemed to have not much power. it took forever to get in on a plane. its mounted on a 16 foot excel 4 person runabout. it didn't seem to get up to full power. top speed was 35 MPH. it sucked gas. I checked compression. all 3 cylinders at 100 lbs. I have taken off the carbs and cleaned them in an ultra sonic cleaner. it didn't seem to rev up. I checked and cleaned the engine full filter and changed the canister filter on the boat. any ideas? all will be appreciated! thanks!

check to see where the timing is advancing to when you open up the throttle
needs to be in spec at idle and WOT.
Check fuel pump for leaking into crankcase.
Compression , spark, timing, and proper fuel/air ratio makes cylinders fire properly to produce power.
If all is good the may have problem with wrong prop or set up of motor on boat
