Replacing Tach, Got question.

Does the tach on a 2008 F115 run off of the alternator pulse? My old tach was set at 6 pulses and I'm assuming that I should set the new one the same way.

yes,, it is the same, it is actually a 12 pulse but the gauge does not go to that,,

no it does not run off altenator pulses.
yes it does set for either 12 pole or 6 pulses.
