I'm attempting to remove the cam drive nut from the crank shaft on an '05 F115. Can someone tell me how to keep the crank from turning as I attempt to remove the nut?
Thanks
Hmmmmm,,,, the cam nut from the crankshaft,, thats going to be tricky,,, are you trying to remove the cam nut or the crank nut, either way, with a flywheel holder tool,, there are several styles and types out there for purchase... good luck..
Flywheel is already off. I tried to hold one of the cam wheels, but given I'm going counter clockwise the timing belt wouldn't hold it.
Perhaps either a rubber strap type OIL FILTER REMOVER around the wheel or an air powered impact wrench. They'd be less stress on the belt with the air gun.
Worse case scenerio, put the flywheel back on, snugged down and use that for leverage..
