Can I replace the original yamaha digital gages with aftermarket analog gages? Plug and play or do you have to swap items on the engine side for tach and fuel, etc?

I replaced my digital gauges with non-Yamaha analog and all work fine except the trim gauge, which I haven't figured out yet. The speedometer is just a vacuum hose, the fuel you can identify by looking at the colors on the fueltank. I don't remember how I identified the tach wires but I can check them if you have a problem.

by the time you get done wireing you will have spent more in time and posting about why the trim meter wont work, than had you just bought the correct Yamaha part.
if you price a 6y5 digital tach also price it as a kit.
the kit is typically cheaper than just the tach.
