2002 Yamaha 115 hp 4-stroke motor alarm goes off after 1/2 hr of medium speed, motr goes int limp mode, but no temperature or oil pressure code shows on the dealer diagnostic computer. (dock service call) turn motor off and back on-alarm not present; but, first start up of the day the alarm goes off. turn-off and then a turn-on alarm goes away. any advise?

on that motor the diagnostics will only show a code if the code is currently active.
it will show if the temp or oil switchs threw the code.
low battery voltage will show up as well.

thx for reply. during techs dock visit temp maintained at 140, oil level full, volts steady at 13; but of course no alarm. is it reasonable to have the tech and his diagnostic computer take a test ride with me?
