I just completed the water pump service on my 2000 90 2 stroke. Everything went well and the pee hole stream out the back is very strong. Just to be sure I wanted to ask the forum about water coming out the "notch" in the front of the lower unit where it mates with the middle housing. I ran the engine on muffs without too much hose pressure. I noticed a fairly decent stream coming out the "notch" when the engine is running. Racking my brain trying to figure out why water would be coming out of the notch, seem like a very odd place for the water to displace. Any ideas?
