carb reassembly?

When I reassemble my carb after rebuilding it how important is it to reassemble it dry and with the gaskets dry too?

I would not put anything on the gaskets as it can get into places that would plug things up. clean and dry or a little grease to hold o-rings in place is the way to go

Thanks. I'll just let it sit overnight to dry before putting it back together. I have the keyboard dust spray since I don't have compressed air... Better than nothing I guess.

I thought you were talking about putting on some type of sealer that would end up clogging jets and passages if it got where it should not
