  • 1990 70hp ETLD overheating

The problem recently started when I changed the impeller so I am pretty sure it is related to it. I did find out when I changed the impeller out that there were no seals between the pump housing and the water tube. I got the three seals that they recommend but not sure if they are on right and couldn't get any good information on how to install them. When I start the motor up at the house it runs good and pees water, but nothing comes out of the fitting by the t-stat that is used for the water psi gauge at the top of the motor. Any suggestion would be greatly appriciated.

    Thanks

If running on flusher you ptobably wont see water at that plug, it has to be run in water to get enough water up there.

the 60 and 70 two strokes are the only two motors Yamaha specifically says NOT to use a water pressure gauge on.

its a high volume low pressure system.
