Yamaha 200 HPDI Round Gauge not resetting

Hey guys, ive got a 200Hpdi with round gauges, the engine light keeps on flashing(icon 5 in the manual) on the TACH gauge. The maintenance has been done and the maintenance hours were reset. But now im trying to get rid of the engine light flashing. When i press mode for 4seconds nothing happens. Im getting no response out of the gauge. If i single press the mode button it goes from the engine hours to the "0" maintenance hours. But i cant get it to go into the custom mode.

Probably need to have computer diagnostic run on engine to make sure it doesn't have a engine fault code, and have gauge checked to see if bad.

are you sure you have command link gauges?
if so, key on engine off, press and hold mode for a minimum of 15 seconds.
any active code will appear.
if 01 or hidden appears that is good.
