looking for advice/help

hi lI have a old yam 70 hp {70 bet} 1980 ish started it 2 weeks ago on the muffs after the winter it was good started first time, today would not start it gave a splutter then it was slow when the starter was turning it sounded as if it had hydrolliced, I had left it raised up for 2 weeks put had duck taped all holes/ vents can any one give me any advice as to what is wrong, also does any one know where a can get a paper work shop manuel for this engine.

would appreciate any advice, is it the timing has jumped if so how do I check that.

Remove spark plug to see if engine cranks over ok, if not may have a piston siezed. Load test battery and battery cables to make sure starter has enough current available to it.

thanks for reply I have tried that the engine turns ok with plugs out
