not familiar with bikes but EFI is pretty much EFI.

why does the bike idle high, the ECU doesn't get a correct RPM signal possibly.

After I read your post that I originally posted, I realized that (I think) Yami found a formula and used it through both their MC and boat motor lines; everything you wrote matched up against months of Internet research I'd been doing and if this wasn't a boat forum I wouldn't have known you weren't talking about the Stratoliner.
