Should I see water coming out from top of lower unit when flushing with ear muffs?

I have a Yamaha 130 2 stroke and just hooked up to ear for the first time in a while...I cant remember where water should and should not be coming from specifically the very top of the lower unit. There is a water outlet just that shoots out horizontally towards the transom of the boat which is normal, but above there, water is coming out from what looks like the top of the housing of the lower unit. I think it is where the shift shaft and speedo tube go into the lower unit. Water is coming out there. T Is this normal?
