Does anyone know if I can hook a laptop or test probe of any sort to my 93 250 Yamaha?

I know in '95 they had a little LED flashing adapter harness that plugged into the oil tank harness and gave off flashes (1-11 codes) if there was a problem. I'm not positive about '93 though, but it seems logical that they did. I think the adapter was p/n YB-6444 but check with a Yamaha parts rep directly to make sure. Or order a shop manual for your '93 from www.Yamahapubs.com and it'll tell you in there.

No, it is one of those patch in harnesses that adds the LED flasher to the mix. Has matching plugs on both ends to patch into the existing harness without breaking the circuit.

Mike, is that L plug in the harness just a ground? I don't see that on my motor but I could just go to ground and plug the other ends into the oil harness.Comment
