  • Overfull oil level

I recently purched a Lowe boat with 2005 F90. Wasnt peeing. Changed water pump, still not good. Then checked the thermostat, stuck closed. Changed it. Now peeing. But now I noticed when trimmed up oil was dripping. It was dripping from the dip stick. The oil level is above full. I have read that this is normal. Do I need to change the oil to see what happens. I have read that fuel mixes with the oil to overfull. Also, When I removed the thermostat there was quite a bit of corrosion in the block. What is the best way to take care of that. I guess it was not flushing properly with the thermostat stuck closed. Previous owner did say it had been sitting for a long time.

Thats not not normal, see if oil smells like gas. Change oil before starting engine and check for water or gas in oil.

It does smell like gas. I will do an oil change and keep my eye on the levels.
