I feel victim to Ethenol over the winter and have just completed my first attempt at a carburetor rebuild on my Yamaha 50 hp outboard. My question is how should I set the Pilot Valves? My understanding is that each of the 3 carbs are set differently and that you measure by seating the valve screw closed and then counting the # of turns out. Am I correct? If so, what is a good starting point for the # of turns on each carb?
BTW, My middle carb has the fuel enrichment valve on it. I understand that not all of the 50's have it.
